Self-Care Sunday
Reading on the fire escape can only be done between the hours of 7 AM and 9 AM. Why? Because it is crazy hot outside. I enjoyed my Sunday morning. It was peaceful and quiet, just the way I like it. The tea was exceptional (thank you for the gift).
Welcome to Sunday, my friends. New day. New week. New goals. Begin this new week with a little self-care. Sleeping in is self-care. Taking naps throughout the day is self-care. Do what it takes to be healthy and happy (we owe it to ourselves, especially during these difficult times).
Guess what?! Wearing a mask, social distancing and respect for others is self-care, too. Let's be kinder to each other, please. Peace and love, always. – paerki
(This book came at the right time. My new read... Breath by James Nestor. Four chapters in and I am hooked. This is a game changer. I am going to have to relearn how to breathe (my vagus nerve will be pleased).
My dear friend, thank you. You just know me. You get me. You listen. You care. That is why you are my friend and that is why I love you. Thank you for always thinking of me. I carry you in my heart, always.
Something I recently read... "Having friendships is one of the most important things in life. We all need friends. They are vital to our overall health. Friends help us get through our lowest moments and celebrate with us during our highest accomplishments.
Friendships are based on a connection with sharing a similar point of view and perspective. Quality friendships are more important than quantity. There are friends we may only see once or twice a year, but when we see each other it’s like we just saw each other last week, picking up where we left off.")
