Silence Is Golden
There are times when silence is best, sitting amongst the ruins of past thought to ponder the real meaning of it all. It can be comforting, releasing its own unique energy, but we must turn our thoughts and focus inward critiquing our intent, especially if we want to advance in the game of life, and when those thoughts prove to be intense – unique to one person, we must apply nerve and energy to put all in perspective as to not mislead or manipulate a spirit that can so easily be broken.
I often think our thoughts get in the way of our reality, limiting our ability to see the bigger picture, and therefore we miss out on life’s real beauty, especially that which stands before us.
If we would only take a moment out of each day to listen – to meaningfully listen in silence to what our mind thinks, what our heart craves and what our soul desires, our ability to live more honestly and openly would transcend any intention, consciously or otherwise, of building walls.
Building walls to see who cares enough to break them down can be, at times, a hopeless endeavor, especially when one is not so freely giving, but must be coaxed, almost to the point of dancing on the edge, and if we dare speak in cliché, never allowing our imagination to wander – dreams and desires wane.
And for those who might choose to over think, which at times can be lethal, especially for one whose spirit was meant to soar without constraints, you will only create distraction for yourself, never reaching the true pinnacle of success you so desperately covet.
On a more personal note, I would dance on the edge – exploring the infinite amount of possibilities with you, if only for a moment, but then I think I already have and it has reminded me of what I long for – intrigue and spontaneity, and I hope that continues in some form.
There is nothing like a moment of silence to help heal a wound, to put you back on the right path, and to reaffirm one’s courage and conviction. When used the right way – as a means of introspection, it will aid in your ability to hear your true self speak, not out of ego, but you connected to your truest self, and this, my friend will supply a free flow of positive energy, connecting your heart, mind and soul, which will definitely keep you happy, healthy and strong. Here’s to dancing on the edge. Something we all should do from time to time. – paerki
