Earth Day
What does it mean to you? Of course people will be doing many things to honor our planet, like planting trees, but what does it really mean?
It’s time we all remember just how important it is, and that our planet needs all the help it can get. We must continue to do the small things – turning off the lights to conserve energy, recycling – reducing – reusing, picking up litter, etc.
Never forget, Earth day must not be limited to a single day. We must be in constant daily contact with our neighbors and friends, demonstrating the importance of being a responsible citizen. We must be diligent in educating our youth too, so that they can become better stewards of the environment.
Let’s make Earth Day last all year long, and that’s easy to do if you are thinking green. Let’s agree to recycle paper, metal, glass and plastics… Reduce our carbon footprint… Recycle or reuse old electronics… Embrace renewable energy… Adopt energy-saving technology, and protect wildlife habitats. That’s a nice start! Don’t you think? – paerki
