Early Evening Walks
I appreciate an early evening walk, and not just for the obvious reason, because it is a highly effective way to burn energy, but more so for those moments of meditation and inspiration. Undoubtedly, walking is an easy and convenient way to exercise. (A 30-minute walk, 30 minutes before and/or after dinner is all it takes to stretch your muscles and adjust your metabolism.)
I have enjoyed spending quality time in the early evening walking through many of the lovely neighborhoods in my community. What I enjoyed most was seeing all the different shades of green. I love flowers, but I’m always enamored with those magnificent magical trees and their new leaves, appreciative of the many different colors, shapes and textures, and for the shade they provide, especially on a sunny day.
Walking, great for your physical health and mental wellness. The latter is very important, especially in today’s world. It’s a great stress reducer, but more than anything, it offers focus, aiding in your ability to look at the big picture, providing for opportunities of reflection, problem solving, etc. It’s the perfect escape, but you must be present in the moment.
Here’s to the rest of your week, friends. Here’s to finding your joy. It’s your life. Dare to be responsible for it, and the best way to do this is by taking charge of your own destiny. It’s time to get focused, get busy and embrace the joy of living life on your own terms. – paerki
