Winter 2021
All things considered, especially as it pertains to COVID-19, winter was everything I wanted it to be, cold and snowy. From December to March, I kept busy, playing outdoors as often as possible. I enjoyed my early morning walks alone, those late afternoon jaunts with one particular friend (thank you, Michael) and my weekend hikes off-the-beaten-path, which guaranteed me much peace and quiet.
A few weeks before the season ended, I made a beeline for the beach. It was too chilly to take a dip in the ocean, but just being near the water, walking the shoreline, was perfection. It was the closure I was looking for, and a reminder of what's to come, warmer weather.
Today, I welcome the vernal equinox. Spring is calling you, me – us! It’s saying, "Relax, rejuvenate and refresh." Spring, I’ve been waiting for you, and I’m glad you’ve finally arrived. Everyone, I hope the new season brings joy, happiness and lots of pleasure to your life.
