Working From Home
My commute is 20 feet away. My office chair is my couch. My snack drawer is my kitchen. For many, this is a dream, compared to going into an office. As for me, I appreciate the flexibility, but prefer a balance of the two, and if I had to choose one over the other… I choose on-site to off-site.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, I am working from home (for how long, is debatable because part of my job involves direct contact with patients – interviewing, testing, collecting data, etc.). I work in clinical research.
Regardless of where you work, quality outcomes are essential, and if you’re working remotely… Stay informed, communicate efficiently, establish check-ins, stay true to deadlines, and never take your work environment for granted.
Creating structure and boundaries are important. To not, is a deal breaker. So is working in pajamas, but I digress. Something I learned a long time ago... Work culture isn't a place, but a mindset. – paerki
