Youth Art Month Exhibition
An art education is so vital – at all levels, especially in the public school system. They improve academic achievement, enhancing test scores, attitudes, social skills, critical and creative thinking. They cut across racial, cultural, social, educational, and economic barriers and enhance cultural appreciation and awareness. Support the arts!
I visit museums, and often, because I find beauty there, a sense of peace and great fulfillment, and yes, escapism from our assaulting world. Know this, you don’t need an education to appreciate the vast world of art. You just need your eyes or ears, and your imagination will follow. However, you must be present in the moment. I’m wishing all an arty life.
Check out the Youth Art Month Exhibition (Artwork By Baltimore County Public School Students) at The Walters Art Museum… March 5th – 23rd, 2014. (A special thank you to my friend Tracey for bringing this exhibit to my attention and to her son… Bravo, Isaiah 'Rembrandt' Randolph!) – paerki
