What a beautiful morning! A little chilly, but lovely, and great for walking, too. I always enjoy a morning stroll through my neighborhood, appreciating the peace and quiet.
I love my time outdoors, and it’s the perfect place to exercise. Yesterday, I read an article that quoted a recent study about outdoor physical activity having a 50 percent more positive effect on mental health than going to the gym. I believe it!
There was a time when the gym was my religion. I’m not exactly sure when I stopped going, but I never stopped exercising. I like what exercise does for the body, but appreciate more what it does for the mind. It keeps me focused, and it helps to minimize those moments of stress that creep into my life from time-to-time. That’s why I’m always encouraging people to walk. – paerki
