Bufano Sculpture Garden (JHU)
Regardless of the medium or the occasional controversy, I love artists because they speak from a place so many dare to go, but often wish they could, diving deep into the subconscious, connecting with raw euphoria.
As a voyeur we are able to conceptualize the intention (I hope), which challenges the mind and therefore arouses true reflection, a release of our own desire and passion.
It’s a good day when a piece of art stirs emotion, allowing for escape into the unknown, for fantasy and dream. If we are lucky and present with an open heart, we’ll want to share this experience with those around us.
Yesterday, a plus one and I took a brief walk around town in the late afternoon, stretching our limbs, but minds, too. The ease of conversation took us many places, and it’s no wonder because we have perfected the art of communication.
As we footed our way back to where it all began, we found ourselves in a peaceful sculpture garden on the Homewood campus of the Johns Hopkins University, thankful to the artist for presenting us with art that allowed for reflection, refinement and revelation.
Thank you to the many artists, especially those in Baltimore who make us all feel, think and react. The world would be flat without you. – paerki (Artist: Beniamino Benvenuto Bufano)
