A Few Thoughts
More
These days, my two favorite words are "more" and "new". No matter what I do I always find myself in the mode of more, which allows for creative options for new adventures.
With a dose of more, I often find myself meeting new people and making new friends, too. It allows familiar places to be explored with new eyes and opportunities of rediscovery.
I can’t get enough of the great outdoors. I am always awaiting my next journey on foot, especially when it affords me the time to talk, share, learn, grow and thrive with a plus one, maybe more.
I’m elated by each moment to see, touch, feel, smell, taste and connect with all that’s around me, Mother Nature’s good fortune.
No matter who I travel with, what we do, when or where we go, why we go (because the best excursions are never planned, but done off-the-cuff, impromptu), or how we go (preferably by foot), it’s an adventure to be remembered, treasured and used as a point of future reference, and as a means for reflection when navigating through this journey I call life.
I am eternally grateful for each experience and find the next one more gratifying than the last.
It’s time we all crave more of the practical, easy, familiar, and simple, especially those things that will keep us earnest, without overindulging or inflating egos and creating stereotypes.
It’s time to find new meaning in life, and it begins with the basics. Let’s all attempt to connect with all things natural. Let’s reshape our world by reconnecting with our fellow man, too. Here's to more opportunities and new beginnings, for you and me.
Continue to thrive, my friends. – paerki
A Late Morning Walk
My late morning walk proved to be relaxing, and just what the doctor ordered. This one simple action performed daily can fortify a life, nurturing the mind, body, soul and spirit collectively. This is how I meditate, which keeps me motivated, focused and active. Step up to the plate, America and get healthy. I count my blessings I live in a community rich in color, history and beauty, which allows for rumination, leading to inspiration, all the while bolstering my creativity. It’s not too late and the New Year is just around the corner, so get outside and take your first steps to a better tomorrow. It will lead to a happy, more purposeful you. We owe it to ourselves. Yes?! – paerki
