A Special Day
Do you have a special day that brings you great joy and reflection, one that offers you the opportunity to reconcile the past and move forward with a new beginning? Well, I do!
I share many great adventures with my friends, and with one special person in particular. Ours is a unique story that continues to evolve. It’s filled with many twists and turns, ups and downs and highs and lows.
It’s a relationship of resilience, and it continues to endure. At times, I’m not really sure why. However, I do believe love might have something to do with it. Actually, it’s the love that keeps us pressing forward.
Each year we get together during the second Sunday of August. We walk the Jones Falls Trail to the Conservatory in Druid Hill Park. However, this year we also took a detour and visited the Maryland Zoo.
It was a nice day with a beautiful sun-filled sky, and despite a temperature of 89 degrees, there were breezes to be found that kept us cool. It was a day of memories, smiles, laughs and love. I’ll see you next year, friend.
The pictures in this post represent happiness and togetherness, beauty and life, and more importantly memories, and those, which have yet to be made. – paerki
