I
needed this day, my friend. I enjoyed our chat. Never a dull moment with us.
Until next time, and I will need a next time (sooner rather than later).
These
are not the best photos. Photos, even imperfect ones, serve a vital role as
time points. The goal, to look back and remember something real and special. –

Random Thought: It's unfortunate
when one is unwell, and still has to show-up and deliver, especially in a job
(a job that you love, and give your heart and soul to), but where you might
have temporary limitations. These are situations where you must rely on
short-term work arounds, where the people around you can’t see you struggling
and therefore should want to work with you until you feel better.
More often than not, we
are told to suck it up, which I find harmful. It’s an outdated mindset that
doesn’t fit the social norms.
We have a propensity to
see everything alike. In my career, I have worked and managed people who abused
the system, exaggerating illness to take advantage of sick leave, and
disability benefits. This explains the unkindness of others.
To a certain someone,
you were unkind, but I like you too much not to forgive you. You could have
been more compassionate in your approach.
Dear Reader… Consider
this message a public service announcement. Humans are not a one-size fits all
commodity. Before you speak, know those to whom you are talking.
It’s a cold world, as
the current political climate proves. I hope we can find our way back to
mindfulness. Present moment awareness is needed now more than ever. Pull
yourself out of autopilot. Focus on the here and now. Be present for the person
in front of you.
New day. New week. New
goals. I have much to accomplish. It’s going to take me more time than usual,
but it will get done.
To all – be your best,
give your best. Effort is everything. Writing is cathartic. In fact, I am
feeling better after writing this last statement. – paerki
