Monday's Musings
A Beautiful Day
Monday was the day to be outdoors, if only for a few moments – blue sky, sunshine and gentle breezes, but never cold. The temperature was perfect. It felt like spring to me. A new season is just around the corner (8 days, 21 hours). I’m ready! How about you? The photos in this post are from yesterday’s early evening hike on the Stony Run Trail. Enjoy! – paerki
Going The Distance
I really do appreciate my me time, content to shut off the world, and as much as I love my friends, I think breaks are imperative to keep the relationship thriving and strong. Some might disagree, but for me that is essential for joyful living.
Whether it’s in my personal life or with my career, I always go the distance because it’s very seldom you’ll find me biting off more than I can chew. I think all of us have good intentions, but very few accept their limitations, and we must because when we don’t, we create animosity, confusion and most of all frustration for all parties involved.
On a more personal note, spring is almost here and I’ll want to be outdoors as much as I can. I prefer a trail to sitting in a movie theater, a walk on the beach to look at the sky to an indoor concert, and with that said, to some very cool friends, I want you to join me on all my adventures, but if you can’t go the distance, know that I don’t need your good intentions because they clip the wings of someone who was meant to soar and explore the great outdoors. It’s important to go the distance, if you can... And I can! (For anyone who is upset by this, don’t be. Just accept that sometimes we each need to move alone, at our own pace.) – paerki
