Where Is The Sun?
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some sunshine – and soon! I’m beginning to think I live in Seattle, Washington. I love cloudy days, and I do appreciate the rain, and it beats drought conditions, but a full day of sun, with a temperature in the high 70s and intermittent breezes – now that’s my kind of day.
For those who need a little sunshine, I offer you photographs of one of my favorite flowers – the sunflower. They’re tall and gangly, but have a quiet – majestic strength, commanding everyone’s attention (they catch my eye every time). As I always say, they are a perfect example of plant architecture.
Most of these photographs were taken last summer in Maryland (Baltimore, Jarrettsville and Monkton) and Pennsylvania (Loganville). It’s days like this when I appreciate a trip down memory lane because it leaves me hopeful. Enjoy! – paerki
