Spring 2020
The countdown to summer begins: 7 Days / 7 Hours / 37 Minutes / 37 Seconds. I am going to savor these final days of spring while they last. There is no denying, it was golden this time around, and long lasting too, for a change. Typically, we move from winter into summer, thanks to global warming, but spring held on and I found myself more than content. I was happy, and I still am.
There are signs a new season is being ushered in, and quickly, with intermittent humid days, intense thunderstorms, tornado warnings, etc. It is going to be an unpredictable summer, this is an understatement. This period is not my favorite, but I do make the most of it, because there is joy to be found, even during the season of the sun.
Before it all ends, I am looking back, thus my ode to spring. It was a season for giving and offering advice and exploring shared wisdom, and there were soapbox moments too because as everyone knows, I have a point of view and like to express it, anyway I can. The best parts of this extraordinary season were the memories made and shared, and this opportunity to look back with great fondness in what can only be described as joyful.
It pays to look back. It can help anyone make sense of his/her life, thus respecting the journey even more. When I look back, I am reminded how I got here. It is at this time when I feel my confidence has been restored, which keeps me on my path. Stay on yours because through all the ups and downs, you just might like where you end up, in the place where you were meant to be, and wherever that may be, dear friend – find your joy, thrive and walk away from that which doesn’t grow your spirit in order to keep the momentum going, and you happy. – paerki
