Homeland (Twice Is Nice)
A new month begins – Hello, July! What will you do to make it awesome? As for me, I am off to a strong start, spending my morning meditating and hiking. In the late afternoon I grabbed my backpack and in went my current read (Every Man Dies Alone by Hans Fallada), MP3 player, blanket, snack and a bottle of water. Shortly after, I was out the door once more, making a beeline to one of my favorite Baltimore neighborhoods – Homeland. I spent the afternoon reading, listening to music, and even gazing up at the sky on occasion to reflect.
After days of beautiful weather, the heat and humidity are slowly creeping back in, but don’t let that get you down. Do whatever it takes, but attempt to make each day of this new month memorable.
It’s important to spend quality time with yourself. In a world that never sleeps, find time to relax and unwind. The photos in this post are from my afternoon stroll through Homeland on Sunday (June 29, 2014) and today. I found my joy, thriving in the peace and serenity of the moment. Find your moment, and make it your own. Cheers! – paerki (Additional Photos: Homeland)
