Chasing Green
Wednesday was the ideal day, spending most of my afternoon hiking the local trails in my community. It was time well spent. Summer is definitely taking shape, and with each passing day it gets better and better.
Make the most of summer by spending more time outdoors. Leave your car at home, if/when you can and – walk, hike or perhaps cycle around town. Take day trips to nature trails, parks and other scenic areas. Enjoy a picnic with friends. Fly a kite. Visit the farmers’ market for fresh produce and flowers. Cultivate a small garden. Go to the zoo. The possibilities are endless.
Now is the time to put your best foot forward, and the perfect way to do this is by making every day a green day. Commit to three 15-minute walks spaced throughout the day to nurture your emotional, physical and mental health. Here’s to the greenest of days. – paerki (Additional Photos: A Wednesday Hike)
