Artists & Community Mixer
Tuesday night was about art, artists and community. The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts hosted an Artists & Community Mixer at The Windup Space in the Station North Arts District. It was a wonderful opportunity for artists to promote themselves to community organizations looking for partners to enhance neighborhoods through transformative art projects.
I feel grateful to have been invited, meeting a few of the artists I have long admired, but only through their murals that adorn the walls of neighborhoods in my community. It really was nice to finally match the mural with a face. I particularly enjoyed my conversation with Greg Gannon. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me.
Prior to this mixer I took a 3-mile walk through the city, but ultimately ended up in Station North to appreciate some of the murals I so much enjoy.
As I’ve said many times before on my blog, my walks are never boring. I always find something exciting to interest me, and yesterday was no different. Here’s to the remainder of the week. May it be wonderful for all. Cheers! – paerki (Additional Photos: Windup Space)
