Winter's Final Days
I continue to enjoy my late afternoon-early evening winter walks, as these photos from Tuesday prove. They’re very peaceful, appreciating my alone time most of all. I cherish my walks with friends, but there are times when it pays to go it alone. Those moments are golden, and I can’t get enough of 'me' time. Contemplate that for you. It’s a journey you take with yourself, which can help anyone sort out their heart, mind and the world around them, but you must be present in the moment.
Of course, I always find something new in the familiar, especially during my many hikes on the local trails in my neighborhood. Yes, the cycle of nature does its magic year after year with the change of the seasons. However, if you really look closely you’ll see something new each time. You really need to open your eyes and heart for the adventure. I can’t say this enough, "Get out of your car and enjoy life." Don’t be afraid to embrace a new experience through walking. There is so much to see.
Here’s to a new season, that’s just around the corner (14 days to be exact). We’ve had a wet winter and I’m expecting awesome beauty from spring. Appreciate all that is around you. Cheers! – paerki
