March 25 (Rewind)
How interesting! One year ago today it snowed, much more than we got today. How lucky are we? It really could have been much worse. Perhaps this is Mother Nature’s last hurrah. Let’s hope!
I am so over snow. Big time! I am ready for warm weather and beautiful spring flowers. How about you? Spring will have its moment, and it better not be brief. We’ve had enough wet weather to produce a magnificent season of color and delight.
What we must practice now is time and patience. Better days are coming. Just you wait! I hope everyone had a good day. Regardless of the snow being a nuisance, especially for those traveling, you have to admit it’s pretty when it falls – well, I think so.
I took a walk to Sherwood Gardens this afternoon to check on the tulips. Spring has sprung. The tulips are breaking ground and some of the beds are full of leaves, but no stems, yet. Plan on an April visit, my friends. I hope to see you there.
I decided to travel back in time via my blog to look at March 25, especially as it relates to the weather and Sherwood Gardens. As the photos below prove, it’s hard to predict weather outcomes, and it’s even more difficult to know precisely when the tulips will bloom. One thing is clear, it gives me something to look forward too. Cheers! – paerki (Video: 1 - 2 - 3)
