Happy Tuesday!
I hope your Monday got off to a wonderful start, friends. Continue this new week in confidence, and remember that a positive attitude may not solve all your dilemmas, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Attempt to stand out, and it begins first with a smile. My Tuesday random ramblings… Enjoy! – paerki
Reflecting
I had the luxury of spending my Monday reflecting on what was, and will surely be again (this will sound cryptic to some. My apologizes.). I made a vow to take a few hours out of each week to do something that will bring me true satisfaction and joy, hopefully keeping a smile on my face until the next occasion occurs. You should do the same, friends, because we all deserve that much – to be good to ourselves. And saying you don’t have time is a cop-out, an excuse. Make the time!
Life is too short not to be happy. So many of us need to let go of the pointless drama and the people who create it for us. We need to think about the company we keep and resolve to make sure we’re amplifying our existence by means of quality, not quantity.
Now is the time to celebrate life with love, laughter, kindness, and beauty (inner, not outer). My wish for all, happiness and joy, but of course.
Priorities
It’s hard leaving the weekend behind, wondering if you made the most of it doing all the things you can’t accomplish during a weekday – picking up dry cleaning, going to the grocery store, and other monotonous errands, but also trying to make it through with a bit of fun too. Come on… You need that? Right?!
I know many who will opt for the latter, feeling burdened when the new week begins because they didn’t concern themselves with priorities, creating balance to divide and conquer. Don’t you realize that dragging this baggage (those chores you didn’t complete from the week before) into a new week will only drain you, which potentially can cause flares in temperament? It’s fair to say, there is no way you can give 100% to that which is your livelihood (in other words, your job), which fortifies those fun times we so desperately need and crave.
Something to adhere to – play hardcore domestic Goddess/God during the week, hauling ass to get the crucial jobs at home and work completed so you can sleep in on a Saturday, maybe party into the wee hours of the morning, or perhaps attempting a long weekend. There are days when it’s hard to muster the energy you need to get the many tasks in front of you accomplished, but it can be done. Allow your future plans of fun to motivate you, hopefully keeping your pace strong and steady. Never underestimate your ability to overcome. Just choose your priorities wisely.
