Stay Positive
Weekends come and go so quickly. I carefully consider my options, often choosing outdoors to indoors, motion to repose, and spending time with those friends who can go the distance, which means no cell phone, laptop, television or music. My goal, most of the time, is to be moving – walking, running, hiking or cycling and communicating – talking life (current events, politics, hobbies, etc., and of course, the day-to-day). There are periods of seriousness, but that doesn’t last too long and gives way to much laughter and silliness.
It’s important for me to be with people who can be present in the moment, focusing on the tasks at hand, living for that second, while appreciating the opportunity of creating new memories that will grow a friendship, making it stronger and even more resilient. For me it’s about finding eternity with each thought, feeling and action – memorizing each smile, surprise, and even the awkward gesture, because all are full of purpose providing insight into my journey, while navigating my future.
The weekend is over, happy for the memories I made, and all because I was present in the moment. The present moment is now and the only time where we ever truly live life. The time we spend thinking about the past or worrying about the future is time better spent enjoying the here… the now… the moment. When we live in the present we are free, and anything is possible.
Begin your week on a positive note. Staying positive sometimes takes more than just smiling. Stay focused, stay determined and keep striving for greatness. As always, live life happy. Don't allow anyone to bring you down. Cheers! – paerki
