Be A Voice Of Clarity
Quotations, what would we do without them? They speed up conversations, make us fall in love, create cocoons of protection, make us face our fears, give us courage in times of strife, bring us closer to the Gods, shield us in sorrow, deliver us from pain, push us to live another day, repent for our loses, fortify friendships, inspire the lonely, build and mend bridges and, most importantly, make us want to be better people.
Listen to yourself. Hear what you say. Your words are power. They are fierce and, yes, they can be the complete opposite too, leading to cruelty and disdain. Allow people to hear a voice of clarity and see a life of respect so you’ll be worth remembering. They’ll quote your spirit, love, happiness and perseverance. And when you speak kind, true and honest words, you in turn will become famous in your own right.
Quote someone today who inspired you. It could be your best friend, a teacher, mentor, or a family member. Remember their words because it’s you who will give them new meaning. All of us have an opportunity to live forever and be immortalized with a simple quotation.
Thank you for sharing the following quotes with me, my beautiful friends. They are meaningful, purposeful and are absolutely worth pondering in everyday life. – paerki
“Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth. Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree, which stands by itself. Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here. Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go. Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.” – Pueblo Blessing
“Communication is the one class no one graduates from. Even the wisest man's words will be misinterpreted by a fool.” – Shannon L. Alder
“If you can't get what you want, you end up doing something else, just to get some relief. Just to keep from going crazy. Because when you're sad enough, you look for ways to fill you up.” – Sky Bridge: A Novel
“In the sky there are always answers and explanations for everything: every pain, every suffering, joy and confusion.” – Ishmael Beah
“Just because something isn't a lie does not mean that it isn't deceptive. A liar knows that he is a liar, speaking mere portions of truth in order to deceive, which would make him a craftsman of destruction.” – Unknown (I appreciate this particular quote, now more than ever.)
And one from me, “Every person has something meaningful to say in the conversation of life.” Think before you speak – please!
