Make Time
It was the perfect fall weekend, spending it outdoors as often as I could. A mix of sun and clouds, and intermittent cool breezes just added to the momentum. I love walking in chilly weather, drinking something hot (tea or hot chocolate) to keep me warm. It’s wonderful when I have company, but this weekend was all about me communing with nature.
It was nice to walk select Roland Park footpaths too. They are beautiful this time of year. Most, if not all, are covered in vibrant blankets of leaves, with yellow and orange being my favorite (the latter changes from year to year).
Sunday arrived with colder weather and wind gusts, but my two days of chasing autumn will keep me thriving in a new week, ready to embrace whatever comes my way, and if I have any doubts, I’ll look back at my photos to remind me of what was and what will soon be again.
I’m thankful for the crunch of leaves underfoot because it reminds me of how much I love the outdoors, nature, change in seasons and walking – the simple things in life.
Make time to enjoy life’s simple pleasures, and the best way to do this is by getting rid of the clutter in your life, focusing on what you are doing and by taking yourself out of your comfort zone. Always be present in the moment. Thrive, my beautiful friends. – paerki
