Sunflowers (Oregon Ridge)
There is just something happy about a sunflower. An entire field of them is an amazing sight to behold. I should know! They remind me of childhood and my grandmother’s farm. Sunflowers – they grow strong, proud and tall, and are unapologetic for it. I'd love to be a sunflower, and in many ways – I am!
Flowers bring color and warmth into this world and we all would be hard-pressed to find something else that can enliven our spirit and soothe our soul. We must always take time out of our busy day to stop and smell the roses, and to marvel at sunflowers too. Our heart will thank us for it in the long run. – paerki
Oregon Ridge Sunflowers (Hunt Valley, Maryland): North on Falls Road to Shawan Road. Turn right. Proceed to Oregon Ridge Grill. Do not take the first left at the grill. Take the second left into the Agricultural Center. On the right you’ll see a double row of trees, and beyond that – sunflowers. (Also, the wire fence is not electrified even though it looks that way. Enjoy!)
("Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It’s what sunflowers do." – Helen Keller)
