Live Life Happy
Good morning, everyone! A happy place is key to a healthy life, and a more approachable you. Notice I didn’t say perfect life. There is no such thing. Challenges make us strong, change is inevitable, and motivation is something you should never be without. With a little introspection and the willingness to keep balance, structure and commitment in your world, happiness will surround you forever. Without it you’re vulnerable to all and a target for an unhappy life. Preserve your happiness today by taking a look inside your yesterday, for only then will you find a better tomorrow.
Here’s to your weekend, friends! It will be gone before you know it, thus making the most of every minute. Always be present in the moment. The present moment is now and the only time where we ever truly live life. The time we spend thinking about the past or worrying about the future is time better spent enjoying the here… the now… the moment. When we live in the present moment we are free, and anything is possible.
For those celebrating Gay Pride… A happy pride, to all! To my gay brothers and sisters, and those that believe in us, championing our cause every step of the way, and to the naysayers too… We must all learn to better coexist – respecting and appreciating our planet more and, more importantly, each other. I hope leaders will truly lead, and followers will follow with responsibility and not out of fear. May this truly be a period of reflection, looking back to see what didn’t work and moving forward into something that will, but only if we open our hearts to see that we won’t get anywhere if we don’t see the value in all.
What we all deserve is love. What we all need is love. Love is love, and must never be judged. True love, regardless of sexual orientation must be respected and honored. The voyage through life as a single person can be challenging – daunting at times. So, if you are lucky to find another human being to share your journey, I say, "GO FOR IT." We must never forget that love has many shapes, sizes, and colors and is not finite.
The following is something I read back in October of 2010. It has stayed with me, and I hope you can appreciate the message too… “I cherish my enemies because it is through them that I am continually motivated to seek justice and equality in this world. I cherish my enemies because they challenge my faith and make me continually think not just about what I believe, but why I believe it. I cherish my enemies because they force me to get out of the comfortable pew and do the uncomfortable work of mercy and love. I cherish my enemies because they are a constant reminder that I am just as flawed as they are, just as willing to react with hatred toward others I see as different or as a threat to my own physical or spiritual security.”
“Love has a shape, but no color. You’re probably wondering, “If it’s transparent, how do you know what shape it is?” Good question. Well, for one thing, I put it together, and for another, I’m currently wearing it like body armor (though to the casual observer, I appear naked). ― Jarod Kintz
